Baazi is the 'edge of the seat' suspense thriller, which is intriguing yet entertaining in the real Bollywood style.
Ajay (Dharmendra) a police officer is in love with Elizabeth D'Silva (Waheeda Rehman), a vivacious young damsel. While Liz's uncle sits over her fathers wealth making lifre miserable for Liz, it is only her marriage that would help do away with her uncle's hold on her wealth as per her father's will. However young Liz wishes that the uncle were dead, not dead in the real sense of it, but dead enough to loose the purse string and let her enjoy the wealth.
But wishes, sometimes, have an uncanny way of coming true. And to Liz's horror her uncle did die.... and the death was sudden and swift. When Ajay in response to Liz's frantic phone call drove to her house, he found Liz had fainted away due to the shock of this unwarranted tragedy. The local doctor pronounced the cause of the uncle's death as sudden cardiac failure. With the help of the Father of the local Church. Ajay interred the body of Liz's uncle to the graveyard.
A few days later a man approaches inspector Ajay to help him find his missing son. The photograph of this son, when produced by the man, startled the wits out of Ajay. It was the photograph of Liz's uncle...
Ajay was intrigued! Did he help bury someone else's body? Hurriedly the grave was dug, but.......... THERE IS NO BODY!
